Catalans have announced the re-signing of Fouad Yaha on a two-year deal with immediate effect.

The 22-year-old winger initially joined Top 14 rugby union side Agen at the end of last season, scoring two tries in four games for the club.

A France international in rugby league, Yaha came through the academy at the Dragons and has scored 32 tries in 62 Super League appearances.

On returning to the Dragons, Yaha said: “I’m really happy to be back at the Dragons.

“My experience at Agen in rugby union was positive and helped me continue my development, but my love for my sport was too strong and I’m delighted to be back at the club where I started my career.

“I can’t wait to meet my team-mates, the staff and all the fans at the Gilbert Brutus Stadium.

“I would like to thank the club, especially the chairman Bernard Guasch for the faith they have in me and I’ll do my best to prove them they were right to give me a new opportunity.”

On re-signing Yaha, Catalans coach Steve McNamara commented: “Fouad’s return will be a great addition to the squad.

“He left the team on great terms and is extremely popular within the playing group.

“We all look forward to seeing him compete for a first team place soon as well as working hard on his long-term development.

“Along with Jodie Broughton’s return from a long-term injury in reserve-grade yesterday, this has given us some real depth and competition in our outside-backs.”
