New Salford back rower Mark Flanagan was attracted to his new club by the chance to work with an experienced coach like Tim Sheens.
“The ambition of the club is there for all to see,” he told the Red Devils’ official website.
“I’ve worked with Tim Sheens before, when I was in Australia, and I know what a great coach he is.
“We’ve got a very good roster, and we’re bringing some more players in, so it’s very exciting.
“When a player has worked with a coach before you know where you stand.
“I know what he’ll bring to the club. He’ll bring stability and experience.
“That’s what Salford need going forward. They’ve got all the ingredients to be a top side.”
