Five Super League players have been handed suspensions for offences committed in Round 5 at the weekend.

St Helens prop Louie McCarthy-Scarsbrook and Catalan’s Jeff Lima have both been banned for two matches and fined £300 for making dangerous contact with Leon Pryce and Kyle Amor respectively in the fixture between the two sides at Langtree Park on Friday.

Hull’s Micky Paea has also received a two-match ban and fined £300 for a dangerous contact on Richard Owen during their defeat to Castleford on Sunday.

Huddersfield’s Michael Lawrence has been banned for one game and fined £300, although full-back Scott Grix avoided suspension after pleading guilty to a kicking out offence in their game against Bradford.

Bradford’s Chev Walker was banned for one match and fined £300 for pleading guilty to striking Luke Robinson in the same game.

The hearing into a Grade C charge of making contact with a match official brought against Castleford’s Jordan Tansey was adjourned and will be heard on Wednesday (March 19) afternoon.
