FIve players suspended

James Green, Lee Mossop and Anthony England have all received bans from the independent disciplinary committee.

Hull KR‘s Green was found guilty of Grade C Punching of Warrington WolvesJordan Cox in the 39th minute. Green was handed a two match suspension and a £300 fine.

Wigan’s Lee Mossop pleaded guilty to Grade A tripping of Catalans Dragons’ Glenn Stewart in the 80th minute. For that offence, he was handed a one match ban and fined £300.

For the Grade A tripping offence on Tony Gigot in the 19th minute v Catalans, Mossop submitted an early guilty plea and no further action was taken.

Wakefield’s Anthony England pleaded guilty to Grade B Shoulder Charge on St HelensJon Wilkin in the 42nd minute. England was banned for two matches and fined £300.

There were also suspensions handed out to St HelensTony Suffolk, who pleaded guilty to Grade D Dangerous Contact in the 53rd minute of a Reserves Championship game against Wigan Warriors on June 22.

Suffolk was banned for five matches.

Rochdale’s Dale Bloomfield pleaded guilty to Grade A striking (punches) in the 80th minute in a Kingstone Press League 1 match against Hemel Stags on June 26.

Bloomfield was banned for one game and fined £75.

Leeds’ Brad Singleton pleaded guilty to Grade A High Tackle on Widnes VikingsAaron Heremaia in the 71st minute. No ban was issued but Singleton was fined £300.
