Super League‘s title sponsors First Utility have confirmed the identities of the five players who make up the March Player of the Month shortlist.

The five players are:

Todd Carney (Catalans Dragons) – @tcarney06

Rhys Hanbury (Widnes Vikings) – @rhyshanbury

• Tom Johnstone (Wakefield Trinity Wildcats) – @TomJohnstone01

Chris Sandow (Warrington Wolves) – @Sandow_7

Jamie Shaul (Hull FC) – @JamieShaul

Chris Sandow won the award last month, and is in line to collect back-to-back titles, with Wire still in fine form.

Rhys Hanbury has helped Widnes to be challenging at the top of the table, while Tom Johnstone has shown some scintiliating attacking form for Wakefield.

Todd Carney is showing Catalans fans his true quality now, after his injury problems of last season, while Jamie Shaul continues to impress as part of Lee Radford‘s Hull side.

The First Utility Player of the Month gives fans the opportunity to vote for the league’s most outstanding player. Five players will make up the monthly shortlist before supporters have the chance to vote for the final two via the First page. The two players with the most votes will then be considered by a judging panel consisting of representatives from First Utility and League Express, before the overall winner is revealed.

Every fan who votes will be entered into a prize draw, with one lucky supporter getting the chance to present the First Utility Super League Player of the Month trophy to the winning player.

Fans have until 3pm on Friday 1st April to register their votes for March’s First Utility Super League Player of the Month award.
