Fiji fight back to slip past Samoa

Fiji have pulled off a memorable 20-18 win against Samoa after clawing back from 18-0 down in Apia.

A 90-metre intercept try to Fijian winger Tyrone Phillips in the second half was enough to seal victory.

Samoa raced out to an early lead, with Sam Kasiano bagging the first try. Then winger Ken Maumalo pushed through to cross twice in quick succession.

The Bati hit back through Marcelo Montoya, followed by tries from James Storer and centre Brayden Wiliame.

Then Phillips pounced and Fiji held on through some heroic defence to get the result.
