Ex-York pair make Hawks move

Hunslet have continued their squad building for 2010 with the double capture of Richard Blakeway and Joe McLocklan.

Blakeway, 27, is re-united with former boss Paul March, who coached the back-rower at York, having recovered from a knee injury sustained in May while captaining the City Knights, ironically against Hunslet.

Hooker McLocklan, 24, returns to Yorkshire after a spell with South Wales Scorpions, after moving there from York following two years at Featherstone.

Hawks Director of Rugby Darren Williams said: “Were thrilled to complete the signings of these 2 quality additions, they both fit into the criteria that we were looking for, both are experienced campaigners and have plenty of games under their belts at the level of rugby were competing at in 2011. “

Williams added: “By their own admissions they both had a disappointing 2010 for differing circumstances however we are sure that will change in our environment and that we can bring the best out of them.”
