Ellis in doubt for Dragons clash

Gareth Ellis is a major doubt for Wests Tigers‘ round three encounter with St George on Friday after picking up a thigh injury.

Ellis suffered a dead left leg in the early second half stages of the Tigers’ 22-18 defeat against Manly at Bluetongue Stadium on Friday night.

He will receive regular treatment on the injury during the week but is expected to miss the match at Kogarah.

Ellis joins an expanding Tigers injury list which includes the likes of winger Lote Tuqiri, prop Keith Galloway and full-back James Tedesco.

Another victim is winger Matt Utai, who will be out for up to six weeks with a knee injury also suffered against the Sea Eagles.

Utai was struck down with an injured left medial ligament.
