Eden looking to maintain personal progress

Hull KR full-back Greg Eden is looking to kick on this season, and prove some of the doubters wrong.

His performances have improved in recent weeks, after he returned to the KC Lightstream Stadium from a loan spell with Salford.

With Ben Cockayne injured, Eden has been handed a solid run of first-team games, and he now wants to make sure he stays in the team.

Rovers were defeated 30-6 at Leeds in their last run-out, on Friday evening.

“My game is coming on,” Eden told the Hull Daily Mail.

“It was a tough start to the season with the stick I was copping. I’m just happy to be back on form and proving my critics wrong. It’s getting better each week.

“It was a solid performance at Leeds, but there were no chances to break through the line for me.

“Leeds were good defensively and it was tough.”

Next up for Rover is a home clash with Salford. Having spent time with the Red Devils during this campaign, Eden is ideally placed to give Robins coach Chris Chester some inside information.

“I know a few of their players and what they like to do in games,” Eden said.

“It will be about doing the same as we did against Saints and Leeds, sticking to the game plan and completing sets. The key will be the completion rate.

“Against Saints it was in the 90 per cents, but with the errors we made that was way down against Leeds and was one of the reasons we lost.”
