Matty Chrimes has signed a one-year deal with Doncaster following a successful trial period.

The former Bradford Bulls academy player has been on trial with the Dons throughout pre-season and has impressed head coach Richard Horne.

Chrimes has previously played for amateur side Rochdale Mayfield and England Universities.

On signing professional terms with Doncaster, Chrimes said: “I’m so happy, it’s the reason why I came on trial here.

“I’ve wanted to test myself at this level for a long time and I’m glad I’ve been given the chance by the club.

“The Dons are a fantastic club, it’s one of the biggest clubs in League 1.

“I’m really happy to be here and it’s a massive step up for me.”
