Doncaster have signed Papua New Guinea international Watson Boas from Featherstone on loan for the rest of the season.

The Kumuls half-back has featured several times in the Championship this season, and will link up with the Dons immediately.

Boas will join fellow Papua New Guinean Menzie Yere at the Keepmoat Stadium.

Doncaster coach Richard Horne said: “When we heard of Watson’s availability we were keen to get the deal done, he is a quality player who will do well for us.

“He’s someone who will get the fans off their seats and I’m sure they are all looking forward to seeing him in action.

“He has played a few games in England so is used to the conditions now, and will only get better when the tracks get faster throughout the year.”

Featherstone can recall Boas within 48 hours notice, once 28 days of the loan spell have passed at Doncaster. He could make his Dons debut against North Wales Crusaders this weekend.
