Dobson extends Hull KR deal

Hull KR scrum half Michael Dobson has signed a two year extension to his contract to keep him at the club until 2012.

The Australian’s present deal does not expire until the end of next season and the club have been keen to secure his long-term services, signing him until the end of the 2012 season.

The 23-year-old former Canberra Raiders player has made a huge impact to the side since moving to Craven Park, his contribution since arriving has played a significant part in guiding the Robins to second place in the Super League table and Head Coach Justin Morgan is delighted to secure his services for a further two years.

Morgan said: “Its great news for the team that Michael has extended his contract, he is a key member of the side and he leads our team around the park very well. He is still learning and i’m looking forward to working with him over the coming season’s” 

Dobson added: “I’m really settled at this club and we have a really good set of players here that are capable of winning silverware.”

“Everyone at the club along with all the supporters make you feel so welcome, it was an obvious decision for me to make and there’s no reason to go anywhere else, I love my footy and I am really enjoying playing here.”
