Dewsbury have signed Jordan Andrade for 2019, while Kyle Trout has also penned a new deal with the club.

Andrade, who is a Jamaica international, worked with Rams’ coach Lee Greenwood when they were both at Gloucestershire All Golds.

The 26-year-old has also spent time with Bradford Bulls and Salford Red Devils.

On joining the Rams, Andrade said: “It was a text from Lee Greenwood who has coached me before down at the Gloucestershire All Golds.

“I was down there with the RAF and the All Golds were the nearest team to me. I did a bit with Lee down there, but my season was cut short for some personal reasons.

“Obviously he has seen something in me to get back in touch with me to offer me a place here. I came over and spoke with him to get the ball rolling from there really.

“I’d like to say we got on well, I had to cut my season short and he understood the reasons why. When a club like Dewsbury comes knocking, it’s an opportunity you just can’t turn down.”

Meanwhile, Trout has signed a new one-year deal with the Rams.

He joined the Championship club at the start of 2018 and will don the Dewsbury shirt again in 2019.
