Salford winger Danny Williams has signed a new two-year contract with the City Reds.

Williams joined Salford after a spell with rugby union side Newcastle Falcons. He had a trial at Hull KR before Salford snapped up the 25-year old towards the end of last season.

Williams said: “There was interest (from other clubs) but Salford have been good to me.

“They gave me a chance when I came back. It’s a good opportunity to stay for two more years.”

Salford head coach Phil Veivers was delighted to keep Williams on for another two years at the Salford City Stadium.

He said: “Danny likes the way we play our game. It’s a bonus for us.”
