Leigh hooker Thomas Coyle has joined Championship rivals Hunslet on a one month loan.

Coyle, 25, has played just one first team game since the end of 2011, having missed the whole of last season with a broken leg while at Widnes.

He joined the Centurions in the close season, but suffered a broken thumb and has made just one first team appearance, in the Challenge Cup win over East Leeds in April.

Hawks Director of Rugby, Darren Williams, said: “Tommy suffered an unfortunate injury at Leigh in pre season and although now fully fit due to the form of Ryan Brierley and Martyn Ridyard has struggled to force his way into the Leigh side.

“Tommy is an excellent organiser & communicator and has an intelligent kicking game, which is an area we needed to improve on.

“This agreement suits all parties and thanks to Paul Rowley and the Leigh club for their cooperation in this matter.””

Coyle was an ever-present with Widnes in 2011, earning himself a Super League contract.

He initially joined the Vikings in 2010, making 49 appearances in total, having previously played for Oldham, Halifax and Wigan.
