Coventry have signed forward duo Niall Collett and Will Tully for the 2019 campaign.

Collett is a hooker and recently represented England Colleges against the Australian Schoolboys.

The 19-year-old is a Midlands-based player, having progressed through the ranks at Midlands Hurricanes.

On joining the Bears, Collett said: “Signing for Coventry Bears is a great opportunity for me to challenge myself in senior rugby.

“The pre-season has been tough but enjoyable and will hopefully put me on the right path for the season.

“I’m looking forward to the season starting so I can earn my place in the squad and I am aiming to eventually get a place in the starting team.”

Along with Collett, front-rower Tully joins the Bears after impressing on trial.

Tully hails from Leicestershire and has previously spent a season in the Castleford Tigers academy.

On signing for Coventry, Tully said: “Signing with the Bears means a lot to me.

“They’re my local team and I want to help them show the talent that is available in the area.

“So far, pre-season has been sun, and it’s nice to be mixing in with some quality players.

“In 2018, I’m looking forward to experience my first season for a senior side in league and hope to get a few games under my belt, so I can improve my game and gain valuable experience.”
