Parties involved in the creation of a new independent commission to run rugby league in Australia have agreed terms.

The Australian Rugby League and News Limited say they have finalised the commission’s constitution after meeting today.

Australian Rugby League Chairman John Chalk said today:

“The parties have agreed to the final terms of the constitution.”

“This will now make it possible to finalise the additional documentation to complete the restructure.

“The meeting today was productive with all parties confident that they have overcome the fundamental impediments to the implementation and establishment on the new ARL Commission.”
