Chester warns Hull KR players to stay disciplined

Hull KR coach Chris Chester has been pleased with the way his squad have approached their six weeks of pre-season training so far.

But, now that the players are to have a short break before returning on January 4, he has warned them to stay disciplined and continue with good habits.

“The intensity has been very good across the last six weeks, to be perfectly honest,” Chester told the Hull Daily Mail.

“I’m not expecting a step-up after Christmas as it’s been consistently good. However, my message to the players now is to stay disciplined.

“They’ve all been given target weights to come back to and I expect them to follow it, that’s all about discipline over this Christmas break.

“The boys will enjoy it and be back on January 4.”
