Catalans hand pair deals

Catalans have re-signed prop Remi Casty and handed a professional deal to reserve player Michael Simon.

Casty, 24, has established himself in the Dragons pack since 2007 and has made 22 appearances this season, including a man of the match performance in Saturday’s win over Hull in Bezier.

Simon, 22, has been playing with Catalans reserve team UTC in the French Rugby League championship and will make the step up to professional level for the 2010 season.

Catalans have been working hard at securing the futures of their young French stars, with Jean-Phillipe Baile, Cryil Stacul and Cyrille Gossard all signing new deals in recent weeks.
