Catalans 2019 squad numbers: Sam Tomkins to wear No. 29

Catalans have revealed their squad numbers for next season, and Sam Tomkins will wear the No. 29 jersey.

Three new signings are included in the Dragons’ squad – Tomkins, Matty Smith and Matt Whitley – who will wear 29, seven and 17 respectively. Tomkins started his career at Wigan Warriors with the number 29 jersey.

Tony Gigot will don the number one shirt, with Papua New Guinea captain David Mead taking number three.

Micky McIlorum will be Catalans’ nine next season, with Kenny Edwards being 11.

On his squad for 2019, Catalans’ coach Steve McNamara said: “We are happy with the quality and depth of the squad we have assembled for 2019.

“It has a large contingent of players who improved significantly over the course of 2018 which gives us consistency and continuity, whilst the three new players have added some variety and freshness to the group.

“We still have the option to add to our squad and are actively searching the market for further potential additions should the opportunity arise.”
