Burke keen to impress at Wigan with Hull KR

Hull KR forward Greg Burke is hoping to make a statement to the Wigan hierarchy when the two teams clash in Super League this weekend.

Burke is currently on a season-long loan deal at Rovers, and he hopes a good performance at Wigan can help to seal his long-term future as a Warrior.

 “I go out and aim to play well every week, but obviously this is one game when I know they’ll be watching so hopefully I can play well against them,” he told Wigan Today.

“It’s going to be a bit strange playing against my mates.

“The plan is still to come back to Wigan – that’s by goal long term.

“I want get back to Wigan and try and knock my way into that team, and the best way of doing that is by performing well for Hull KR until the end of the year.”
