Brown suffers further injury blow

Widnes stand-off Kevin Brown has suffered a further injury blow.

Brown, 28, ruptured a bicep in the draw against Catalan, and sat out the Vikings’ home defeat to Wigan last Friday.

He moved from Huddersfield in the close season, but two ankle injuries have limited him to nine appearances for his new club.

But the former Wigan man is hoping to have an injection to enable him to play against Leeds on Monday.

The worst case scenario for Brown is that he will require a clean-out operation, which would see him sidelined for a couple of weeks.

He has featured in wins over Hull, Salford, Doncaster and St Helens, as well as the draw against the Dragons for Widnes.
