Danny Brough has played over 22 games for Scotland

Huddersfield talisman Danny Brough wants his club’s fans to really show their support when the Giants open their 2015 Super League campaign against Hull FC at the weekend.

The Scotland skipper is expecting Lee Radford‘s team to provide Huddersfield with a physical test at the John Smith’s Stadium.

“It’s not going to be easy against Hull on Sunday,” Brough told his club’s official website.

“They’re a tough, physical side, and Lee Radford will have them well-drilled and fired-up to face up.

“So we’ve got to make sure we get into them from the start, and the fans can help us in that regard.

“Hopefully, they’ll continue to get right behind us – just like they did last season – and give us that extra lift we need.

“To get more bums on seats and turn in a quality winning performance against Hull would set us up perfectly for the season ahead.”

The restructure of the league this season makes every game crucial, and Brough knows that the Giants need a good start to the new campaign.

“Everyone knows how important it is under the new system to start the season as strongly as you can,” he added.

“If you don’t, then you’re going to make it tough for yourselves.

“But we’re obviously confident we can make another strong impact in the competition.”
