Bradford’s new Australian recruit says he is looking forward to reuniting with Bulls coach Rohan Smith.

Lachlan Burr worked closely with Rohan Smith during his time at Gold Coast Titans, where the Bradford chief was assistant coach.

“I’m excited, I can’t wait to just rip in with the boys and do some weights and get to know the lads,” he told the Bulls website.

“So yeah, I’m pretty excited. Rohan is a great coach and he is very detailed with everything that he does. I’m looking forward to moving forward with him.

“At Gold Coast he was the assistant coach. I’m glad that he’s got more of a main role as the head coach and I’m looking forward to seeing what we can do this year.”

Burr was a promising star in the ranks of the Titans after coming from Canterbury Bulldogs where he was the club’s NSW Cup Player of the Year for 2013 and also included in the NSW Cup Team of the Year.

The forward played three NRL games for Gold Coast last season.
