Bowden hopeful for Hull at Magic Weekend

Hull FC forward Josh Bowden is optimistic about his team’s chances of success against local rivals Hull KR at Magic Weekend on Saturday.

Rovers won last year’s clash at Manchester, and have also previously beaten FC in the Super League this season.

Bowden is hoping that Lee Radford‘s men can gain some revenge from Saturday’s game at St James’ Park in Newcastle.

“We’re in good form,” he said, speaking at the Magic Weekend launch in Newcastle.

“We were disappointed when Rovers got the upper hand on us in the last game.

“At the Magic Weekend last year, they got a great result against us, so we’re going to be looking forward to hopefully getting the win.”

Bowden is also under no illusions as to how competitive and aggressive the game is when the Airlie Birds face the Robins.

“[I’m expecting] a very physical one,” he added.

“It always is against Rovers.”
