Bousquet wants trophies after inking new Catalans deal

Catalans Dragons have confirmed that prop Julian Bousquet has signed a new deal at the club.

He should now remain with the club until the end of the 2017 season, and is keen to win some silverware with the Dragons.

“I’m really happy to stay at the club,” he said.

“I feel really good here, I’m happy with the staff and my team-mates and it was an easy decision for me.”

“I want to win a trophy with the club.”

“We are a really competitive team, there is a great atmosphere in the group and I feel we can do something great this season.”

The 24-year-old has made 44 apperances since his debut in 2012.

Catalans coach Laurent Frayssinous is delighted to have secured the future of such a good young player.

“It is great news for the club to keep Julian for the next two seasons,” he said.

“He has improved a lot to become a Super League player, he will of course bring us his on-field qualities but also his attitude and desire to help the club to develop and we want to build our future with Julian.

“We always had belief in him and we are delighted to see his efforts rewarded.”
