Arundel injury blow for Hull

Hull’s injury woes have continued, with the news that centre Joe Arundel faces a couple of months on the sidelines with a knee problem.

Arundel, 21, was forced off late on in Saturday’s 24-18 win over Salford, which forced the Airlie Birds to end the game with 12 men having used all 10 interchanges.

Coach Peter Gentle told the club’s official website: “Joe’s done his knee and we’ll get scans on that but we’re expecting that to be another couple of months out for him.”

A close season signing from Castleford, Arundel missed a large part of last season with a shoulder injury.

He has scored six tries in 12 appearances for Hull so far this season.
