Academy pair Josh Rickett and Brandon Pickersgill have signed new two-year deals at Bradford.

Winger Rickett scored one try in four appearances for the first team last season, while utility back Pickersgill made his debut against Toulouse.

He also spent time on loan at London Skolars, scoring twice in four games.

Co-owner Andrew Chalmers said: “It’s great to have these boys on board, both of them work extremely hard for the club and do everything in their power to help us get the best possible result every time they go out on the field.

“Josh and Brandon have put in a lot of work during their academy days, that’s clear in their work ethic. They are both outstanding young men and have huge careers ahead of them. I am glad that they have chosen to commit their foreseeable futures to Bradford.

“We have been building the squad over the last few weeks preparing for the new season. These boys will join a raft of players that we already have within the squad.

“We want to begin preparations for the pre-season well and continue from there. This is just the way to go about it. Get the players in early and focus on nothing but the game.”
