Specialists have confirmed that Leeds Rhinos star Carl Ablett will be out of action for eight to ten weeks after suffering an ankle injury in the loss to Castleford last week.

Ablett limped off early on in the 24-10 loss to Castleford and Meirion Jones, Leeds Rugby’s Head of Physiotherapy Services, has revealed that the specialists have confirmed a serious injury.

However, the Rhinos have received more positive news on new signing Brett Delaney. Jones commented, “Carl Ablett has had a significant high ankle injury which has ruled him out for 8-10weeks.

Brett Delaney picked up a posterior knee irritation which he is rehabilitating well from and the medical team are optimistic of him being fully fit to train in the next couple of weeks.”
