Kane Evans leaves Hull by mutual consent

Hull FC have confirmed the immediate departure of international forward Kane Evans by mutual consent.
The Fiji international prop made the Super League switch ahead of 2022 and was in the final year of his contract at the MKM Stadium.
He made 23 Super League appearances across his stint in England, including seven in the current campaign.
His final appearance for the club came against Hull KR during the side’s 40-0 defeat on Good Friday.
A short statement released by the Super League outfit read: “Hull FC can confirm that Kane Evans has been released from his contract by mutual consent.
“Evans will return to Australia for personal reasons.
“The club wishes him well for the future.”
Tony Smith’s Hull currently sit ninth in the Super League table after three straight victories over Huddersfield, Wigan and Wakefield.

Evans arrived in Super League with more than 130 appearances in the NRL. The prop forward made his debut in 2014 for the Sydney Roosters, enjoying four seasons at the club before switching to Parramatta Eels.
He made his international debut for Fiji in 2013, representing his heritage at the World Cup in England, having also featured for Junior Kangaroos.
He spent the 2021 season with New Zealand Warriors making 14 appearances for the club.
Evans also represented Fiji at the 2017 World Cup Down Under.
