Lilley progressing at Leeds

Leeds pivot Jordan Lilley is feeling positive about the season ahead, as his physical and technical preseason training begins to take proper effect.

Lilley played in the Rhinos’ friendly victory over Hunslet at the weekend, and is looking forward to becoming even sharper in the weeks ahead.

“Preseason has been really good for me, and I’ve developed my game physically,” he told Rhinos TV.

“I’ve lost weight and put more muscle on, so I’m very happy with how I’m progressing at the minute.

“I just need to keep building, and hopefully hit the season running.

“I’ve been playing a bit at hooker, a bit at half, so for me it’s about balancing the two out.

“They’re both different in their own right.

“I’m just trying to build on it week-in and week-out.

“Whether I play hooker or half, I practice at both.

“The coming games will be good to test where I’ll play.”
