The Rugby Football League board have awarded Toulouse a 24-0 victory after London Broncos advised this week they would not be prepared to travel to France.

The game was meant to be played in France on April 17 – but it will now not go ahead and hosts Toulouse have been awarded the 24-0 victory.

The Broncos this week advised they would not be prepared to travel to France for the game – and the RFL say they will be referred to the RFL compliance department for off-field misconduct for failing to fulfil a fixture.

In March, the RFL board ruled that the game should go ahead as scheduled despite the change in UK Government quarantine restrictions affecting France because the Broncos are a full-time club.

The RFL’s Covid regulatory framework allows for matches to be postponed if a club has seven or more players unavailable as a result of positive Covid-19 tests or test and trace close contact analysis.

Toulouse are now deemed to have played two matches this season, and London one. Clubs are required to have played 70% of their scheduled fixtures to be eligible for the top six play-offs come the end of the season.
