Super League music link-up announced

Rugby league fans can enjoy new music at games this season, thanks to a new initiative.

Super League have teamed up with sport music specialists Shoot Music to create #SuperLeagueMusic, which is the first interactive music playlist policy across a national sport league anywhere in the world.

This means that fans at Super League fixtures can hear brand new music from a range of musicians who support rugby league.

Playlists can be heard at games right from the beginning of the season, which kicks off tonight when Widnes welcome Wigan to the Select Security Stadium.

The playlist for February 2015 includes new music from The Charlatans, Kaiser Chiefs, Catfish & The Bottlemen, The Subways, Noel Gallagher, Brookes Brothers and The Cribs.

Clubs and artists will share information about what is set to apear on playlists regularly via social media.

Fans can participate via Twitter and Shazam, sharing music they enjoy and discussing what they like to listen to on game day.

Every month one lucky fan will win music goodies. Shoot Music will pick this at random from fans using the #SuperLeagueMusic hashtag.
