Oxford re-sign back-rower

Championship 1 side Oxford have re-signed back-rower John James Baird.

Baird scored two tries in 13 appearances last season having joined from Antrim Eels, and represented Ireland A in this year’s Four Nations tournament.

Oxford coach Tony Benson said “JJ has developed into a really good club man, he is a very big part of the club both on and off the field. 

“On the pitch, he’s very aggressive, both in defence and with the ball in attack, and he has a lot of pace. He scored a few tries from his own half last year.”
