Hunslet secure permanent deal for Watson

Hunslet have announced the permanent signing of full-back Jimmy Watson from Leeds.

Watson, 21, impressed the Hawks whilst on dual registration, and last night put pen to paper on an 18 month contract.

Hunslet Director of Rugby Darren Williams said: “Jimmy has cemented his position in the team, he is seen as an outstanding prospect and is already a fans favourite here at South Leeds. He has a tremendous attitude and work ethic and conducts himself well around the place. 

“This transfer further proves that our dual registration partnership with the Leeds Rhinos is working well, and continues to go from strength to strength.”

The ex-Oulton Raiders and Hunslet Warriors amateur has scored four tries in 15 Hawks appearances so far this season.
