Castleford anger at kick-off change

Castleford have hit out at the decision to move the kick-off time of their match against Catalan in Perpignan this Saturday.

The match, which was due to kick-off at 6pm, will now start at 3pm following a request by French television, which was accepted by the RFL.

A Tigers statement said: “The Tigers would like to make fans aware that the decision has been made by the RFL despite our objection to the change as we believe that the late notice is unfair to our travelling fans.”

It will be Daryl Powell’s first game in charge of Castleford, following his move from Featherstone last week.
