St Helens assistant coach Jamahl Lolesi has been fined after being found guilty of using foul and abusive language towards a match official.

Lolesi, 32, was deemed to be in breach of Operational Rule D1.8 (c) and the RFL respect policy during Saints’ Super League fixture against Salford last month.

The former Huddersfield centre pleaded guilty to the charge, and was fined £500, half of which was suspended until the end of the 2014 season.

He joined the Saints coaching staff in the close season following the arrival of Nathan Brown, who he worked with at the John Smith’s Stadium.
