Wigan CEO leaves for union

Wigan chief executive Mick Hogan has left the club to take up a similar position at rugby union club Sale.

Hogan joined the club in September 2008 as part of chairman Ian Lenagan’s re-shuffle of the club’s management, which has reaped great rewards with the Warriors currently sitting top of the Super League table.

Lenagan said: “We are disappointed that Mick has chosen to leave part-way through the task he took on at Wigan but understand the financial attraction of reversing the fortunes of a Rugby Union club. We wish him well and thank him for his efforts with Wigan.”
