Dewsbury bring in Wigan forward on loan

Dewsbury have bolstered their forward pack with the signing of Wigan youngster Ben Kilner on a month’s loan.

Kilner has yet to make a first-team appearance for the Warriors, but he will add versatility to the Rams, being able to play anywhere in the pack.

The Yorkshireman was loaned to Leigh Centurions last season, playing one game for the club in their Championship Shield final defeat to Featherstone.

In a statement by the Rams, it read: “Dewsbury Rams can confirm that second-rower Ben Kilner has joined on an initial one-month loan deal from Wigan Warriors.

“We are looking forward to seeing Kilner play alongside Wigan loanees Samy Kibula and Callum Field for the Rams.”

Dewsbury face fellow Championship side Halifax in the Challenge Cup at the Tetley’s Stadium on Friday night, 8pm kick-off.
