Storm end NRL legal action

Melbourne Storm has ended its legal action against the NRL over their salary cap penalties.

The Storm were stripped of all their competition points for this season and their two NRL titles earned in 2007 and 2009.

A club statement said: “The Board together with the new Chief Executive Officer, Ron Gauci, and senior management, can now focus on working with the NRL to ensure the Storm fields a team next season that is under the salary cap.”

However, it is believed that fans of the Storm may still be considering bringing a legal case against the NRL.
