Reds agree Whitehead fee

Salford have agreed a transfer fee with Bradford for unsettled second row forward Elliott Whitehead.

Whitehead, 23, has been in limbo since shocking the Bulls earlier this month by asking for a move, with coach Francis Cummins refusing to select him.

City Reds owner Marwan Koukash says he has agreed a “substantial” fee with Bradford and is hoping to finalise the move in time for Friday’s home game against St Helens.

The Bulls were thought to be asking for at least £100,000 for Whitehead, who has a contract with them until the end of 2016.
