Former St Helens prop joins Crusaders

Ex-St Helens prop James Tilley has signed for North Wales Crusaders for the rest of the season.

The 25-year-old made his Super League debut for Saints back in 2013, making three first-team appearances for the club after progressing through the academy.

Tilley then enjoyed three years at Rochdale and has played the previous seasons at Whitehaven, making 117 career appearances to date.

Crusaders coach Anthony Murray said: “James came through a good system at St Helens and has played at the highest level.

“He’s been in and around League 1 for a number of years and will give us plenty of options in the forwards.”
