Baldwinson: Rhinos in safe hands

Recent Leeds debutant Jordan Baldwinson believes another golden era is imminent for the reigning Super League champions.

Baldwinson, 18, came off the bench against Widnes on Monday to make his first appearance in blue and yellow.

Alongside the England academy captain two other 18-year-olds, Liam Sutcliffe and Thomas Minns, also played their part in the 38-28 win, and Baldwinson believes it was a sign of things to come.

He said, “Hopefully we can stay together, crack on, keep moving forward and get a few more games.

“I am a big, strong lad and I’ve just got to go out and run as hard as I can, tackle as hard as I can, and be confident in my capabilities.”

Rhinos face a fight to hang on to Baldwinson, who was targeted by New Zealand Warriors’ football manager Dean Bell during a recent trip to England.
