Coventry will not appoint a head coach for 2020 as eight players re-sign

Coventry have confirmed they will not appoint a replacement for departing head coach Tom Tsang ahead of next season.

Tsang left the Bears last week after eight seasons with the club to become an assistant coach at London Broncos in the Championship.

Coventry will not appoint a head coach for 2020 though, with director of rugby Alan Robinson leading the performance staff instead.

Mark Sloan and Richard Squires will be assistant coaches, while Ryan Cousins will be the football manager.

Ben Gray will head up the strength and conditioning, with Ben Whincup covering performance analysis.

Robinson commented: “I am really looking forward to working with coaches and staff for what will be a new era for me and the club.

“We have years of experience and expertise in coaching and performance management within the group and have already made some exciting new signings which will be announced in coming weeks to take the club forward.”

Kadeem Williams, Reece Rance, Brad Sheridan, Cameron Stewart, Niall Collett, Will Tully, Ben Gray, Harry Kaufman, Leon Harber and Peter Ryan have signed new deals with the Bears for 2020.
