Toronto have signed free agent Tony Gigot on a one-m0nth trial period.

The 29-year-old made 142 appearances for Catalans during two spells at the club, scoring 49 tries.

Gigot became the first Frenchman to win the Lance Todd Trophy in 2018 as he helped the Dragons win the Challenge Cup.

Toronto coach Brian McDermott said: “Tony has proven his talent across a long and successful career and has shown he has what it takes to play at an elite level.

“We are extremely excited to see what he can do in his return to Super League.

“This will be a four-week trial period and Tony has shown great commitment in staking his claim with the Wolfpack and I look forward to working with him again.”

Gigot is in contention to play in Toronto’s squad for Friday’s trip to Warrington.
