Wakefield youngster Lee Kershaw has extended his loan deal at Oldham for the rest of the season.

Trinity can recall the winger at any time, as they can with full-back Luke Hooley, who also agreed to stay at the Roughyeds on loan for the rest of the season.

Kershaw’s original one-month loan deal at Oldham expired after Sunday’s game at Hunslet, but the in-form winger will remain at the Vestacare Stadium until the end of the campaign.

The 19-year-old has scored four tries in eight games for Oldham so far and Roughyeds coach Scott Naylor is delighted to have extended Kershaw’s loan deal.

He said: “This is good for the club because it will give us choices at weekend.

“Lee has done well for us up to now. He’s young, but he’s learning the game very quickly.

“It’s good for him to be playing regularly in a tough division and it’s good for Wakefield to have him playing for us. It suits all parties.”
