Super League players have taken to social media to share their disbelief of the latest yellow card.

Castleford’s Mahe Fonua has become the latest player to be shown a yellow card as the game continues to crackdown on foul play. The winger was sent for 10 for a late shot against Wigan’s Jai Field at the DW Stadium.

St Helens centre and Tonga international Konrad Hurrell wrote: “What is going on…yellow card?”

Huddersfield forward Chris McQueen responded to Hurrell: “This game has become a joke.”

Hull FC centre Josh Griffin wrote: “Wow. That’s the most ridiculous yellow card I’ve seen so far yet.”

Warrington half-back and England international George Williams was another who shared his views on the decision.

He wrote: “Worst one yet. How’s that a yellow? HOW?”

Warrington team-mate and forward Joe Bullock agreed with his half-back: “That’s never a yellow,” he wrote.

More players past and present also shared their views across social media…

2011 Man of Steel winner Rangi Chase shared his thoughts.

Rochdale full-back Gregg McNally wrote: “That yellow card is an actual joke! They’ve ruined the game… Get the tag rugby belts out!”
