O’Donnell boost for Huddersfield

Huddersfield forward Luke O’Donnell has returned to full training for the first time since injuring his knee last August.

O’Donnell, 31, suffered cruciate knee ligament damage in a match against St Helens, and underwent surgery to repair the injury.

Fellow back-rower David Fa’alogo recently returned to first team action, while Keith Mason is also set to return after recovering from a knee injury of his own.

Head Coach Nathan Brown said: “To know that we will have three experienced players like this fully fit again and ready to fire is an exciting prospect.”

Former North Queensland Cowboy O’Donnell made 16 appearances in an injury-hit first season with the Giants last term.
