Challenge Cup round three tie to be streamed on Our League confirmed

Workington’s third round Challenge Cup tie against amateur side Siddal will be shown on the Our League app next month.

The Our League featured game will be broadcast live on Sunday, March 10 – after the BBC Sport coverage of the all-amateur tie between Thatto Heath Crusaders and Rochdale Mayfield on Saturday, March 9.

Workington are one of only a small number of League 1 clubs to have lifted the Challenge Cup – the Cumbrians were victorious in 1952 when they defeated Featherstone Rovers at Wembley.

But Siddal, one of the country’s most successful amateur clubs in recent years, have also made a mark in the Cup, giving Toronto Wolfpack a battle at their Halifax home back in 2017.

In this year’s competition, Siddal have achieved clean sheets against Clock Face Miners in round one and Millom in round two.

Workington are one of 11 League 1 clubs who join the competition at the third round stage, with the winners of the 12 ties joined by 12 Championship.
