Anderson not getting carried away

Huddersfield coach Paul Anderson is not getting carried away, despite the Giants continuing their fine start to the season with a win over Wigan on Saturday.

After seeing off St Helens and London in their first two games, Huddersfield came from 10-0 down to beat last season’s league leaders 22-10, to remain top of the Super League table after three games.

He told the club’s official websites: “There are still massive rooms for improvements in this group. I don’t get carried away with anything.

“The amount of pressure that was applied to us and our calmness under it is a credit to our belief in each other and our conditioning. We had one play of the ball in the last 11 sets, and had two other plays were knocked down. They are a quality team and the win will give us a hell of a lot of belief.

“We have beat Saints, we have beat Wigan but my thoughts now are now on Wakefield and the improvements we can make as a group.”
